Hormuud CEO pledges $5 million to support the Somali innovators & entrepreneurs in the next 3 years
Hormuud telecom for the second year sponsored Mogadishu Tech Summit, an annual gathering that focuses on the need for Somalia government, business community, donors, private sector, entrepreneurs and development organizations to apply innovation and technology to drive a sustainable development. Addressing the opening session of Mogadishu tech summit, CEO of Hormuud, Ahmed Yusuf, said "Hormuud in partnership with Salaam Bank, will stand with the Somali entrepreneurs & will dedicate $5 million to support the Somali innovators & entrepreneurs in the next 3 years, to enable more opportunities & jobs for the Somali people"

Mr. Yusuf highlighted that successful economies depend on entrepreneurs to run successful business . He encouraged the youth to nurture culture of entrepreneurship in order to contribute to Somali's economic growth and build prosperous nation.
Concluding his remarks, Hormuud CEO thanked the organisers of the conference and he said that the conference came at a time when more than 70% of Somali's population are youth and their empowerment through access to technology and entrepreneurship fund was important.
